About Streetwise and Hangar 14
StreetWise is a public safety information services company located in the Lake Norman area of North Carolina. President Philip Kouwe has been active in the fire and emergency services field for 35+ years. StreetWise is an elite group of progressive, like-minded investors, managers, technical developers, and advisors that form the parent company, Hangar 14 Solutions, LLC.
Public Safety Career Experience
It is their close and ongoing career experience with public safety that led to the development of this project concept. Hangar 14 Solutions has identified first-hand the gap in getting critical response information into the hands of emergency personnel. Hangar 14 Solutions is developing software applications for public safety that will focus on the burgeoning tablet computer hardware platform. As a company, Hangar 14 Solutions believes that mobile computing technology, particularly inexpensive tablet computers and cellular broadband, have opened up new possibilities for providing emergency incident information and stored pre-incident response data to emergency responders in the field.
Phil Kouwe, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Kouwe is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Hangar 14 Solutions, LLC and is the developer of the original StreetWise CADlink™ product concept. Mr. Kouwe has experience in both public safety and competitive private industry. In addition, Mr. Kouwe spent over fourteen years as a full-time fire chief. He has directed fire departments in the suburbs of Indianapolis, IN, Cleveland, OH, and in coastal North Carolina, with extensive experience managing high-growth environments through major organizational change. He has been appointed to several high profile boards and commissions on the state and national level, and received the Governor’s Meritorious Service Award from the state of Indiana. He holds an AS degree in Fire Science Technology and is a graduate of the Executive Fire Officer (EFO) program at the US National Fire Academy.

Mark Rottenberg, Chief Revenue Officer
With over 20 years in sales and marketing, Mark has managed multi-million dollar sales and service offices throughout the Northeast and Southeast United States, and has received top sales and service awards for customer/client relations. He was the Northeast Director for a $100 million life support services company, where he was responsible for all sales and service training, market research, electronic medical products service and testing, and trade shows. In addition, he was the Market Manager for Kinko’s FedEx in Manhattan, NY where he negotiated million dollar contracts for the NBA, Cantor Fitzgerald, Lehman Brothers and Port Authority of NY and NJ.
His interest in the public safety industry came following September 11, 2001 as he was trapped in a subway under the World Trade Center and came to know some of the firefighters and rescue workers that helped victims to safety. Mark’s Kinko’s team was recognized by authorities for setting up one of his Kinko’s branches as a changing station and SCBA tank storage facility for the Ground Zero firefighters.
